Nine platforms get a new life

The assignment comprised planning, dismantling and recycling a total of 140,000 tonnes of steel structures. This was the third removal contract AF carried out offshore.

AF was prequalified for offshore assignments in 2002 based on the method it uses for onshore demolition of industrial plants. In 2004, AF was commissioned by ConocoPhillips to dismantle the steel structure on Ekofisk 2/4 T.

AF collaborated with Heerema on the removal and recycling of bridges, tripods, flare towers and modules on Ekofisk.
