Kårstø Integrity Project

Upgrading at Kårstø

Kårstø is located in Tysvær in Rogaland county and is a process plant for gas and condensate. The plant receives gas through pipelines from the North Sea and the Norwegian Sea. 

After wet gas products have been separated, the dry gas is conveyed through pipelines to Germany, while wet gas products are transported from the plants via ship. 

Gassco has started a modification project entitled Kårstø Integrity Project (KIP). The project includes upgrades, improvements and the installation of new equipment. 

AF’s contract includes the main firewater pipeline, which will be connected to the existing firewater pipeline system.
