Started with analysis job
Tor Olsen, technical advisor at this project, finds the project inspiring.
– The hotel industry has much to gain from energy efficiency and can learn a lot from the project at Vestlia. We started with a preliminary project where we analyzed the hotel, focusing on which profitable energy measures could be implemented," explains Tor.
From a technical standpoint, the project has delivered
- 27 new wells, each 300 meters deep, for the waterborne heat pump system
- A new ventilation unit
- Upgraded water heaters
- Installed sensors and created automation for further operational optimization
The hotel achieved an energy label B, assessed by EVR Norge AS. An energy label B is very good considering that the hotel has been built in stages since the 1970s.
