The project involves building infrastructure, supply roads and developing plots. The necessary infrastructure, such as water and drainage and electrical, as well as the power supply to a newly-established transformer station in the new industrial area, will be established. The work is planned to start in July 2022 and is scheduled for completion in the autumn of 2023.

“We are pleased with the confidence Nordkraft has shown in us by wanting to partner with us on this interesting project. It’s inspiring to contribute to this major investment in the green shift and to good facilities for establishing power-intensive industries in Northern Norway,” says Erik-Anders Helin, Managing Director of Målselv Maskin & Transport.

Målselv Maskin & Transport has good experience of previous partnerships with Nordkraft, including construction work for the development of Sørfjord wind farm in Tysfjord in 2018-2019, and through 2020 and 2021 on various remediation and service assignments.
