Familjebostäder is building approximately 600 rental apartments, a preschool and business premises over a total of five stages at its chosen site at Drevvikshöjden, which is located between the suburbs of Farsta and Sköndal to the south of Stockholm.

Stage 4 encompasses 112 apartments, including 19 young people’s apartments - and will be ready for occupancy in 2023. This stage also includes a preschool and parking facilities.

The properties’ energy supply comes from solar cells, geothermal and district heating with an annual energy consumption lower than 55 kWh/m2. The buildings have been designed and produced to qualify for silver certification in the Sweden Green Building Council’s environmental building certification scheme.

‘We are pleased to be contributing to Familjebostäder’s goal of building at least 500 new apartments every year, and we look forward to the continued collaboration with them,’ says Bård Frydenlund, EVP in Sweden for AF Gruppen.

HMB Construction won the tender for the entire Drevvikshöjden project at the end of 2017. Planning and calculation are done in stages, and Familjebostäder has the option to call off each stage.

HMB Construction is currently involved in the construction of the first two stages at Drevvikshöjden. Stage 3 will begin during the spring and will be followed by stage 4 in the autumn. The tender documentation is currently being drawn up for stage 5. The project is being implemented as a collaborative turnkey contract.

HMB Construction is one of seven subsidiaries of AF Gruppen Sverige. HMB has operations in Stockholm, Mälardalen, Dalarna, Västmanland, Uppland and Gästrikland. In 2019, the company recorded sales of SEK 1.4 billion.
