The contract includes building a new school, demolishing parts of the existing school and renovating the remaining part of the existing school.
The new school will accommodate 600 pupils. The new building totals 6,433 m2 and the part of the existing building that will be demolished totals 1,490 m2, while renovation of the remaining part of the existing building totals 1,331 m2. Building is planned to be carried out in two stages.
The first building stage comprises the new structure, and will be completed in the autumn of 2018. The second stage includes demolition of two of the wings of the existing school and renovation of the remaining part of the existing school. Stage two will be completed in the autumn of 2020.
The contract is a general contract valued at NOK 157 million, excluding VAT. Works commence in July/August 2016.
