SiO is a welfare organisation for students at 25 educational institutions in Oslo and Akershus.
The buildings were constructed as part of the establishment of Kringsjå student village in 1969 and the project is a part of SiOs strategy of a wider upgrade of a number of buildings in the area.
The project will result in an increased number of student homes with a more modern standard. Compared to the current state, there will be an increase of 114 units.
Scope of work includes changing facades, addition of one floor on the lower building and completion of 349 units in total along with common areas as well as outdoor works.
The turnkey contract is valued at approximately NOK 156 million, excluding VAT. Work will commence in June 2016.
