Due to an increasing workload, we are now seeking an Engineering Manager for projects. As an Engineering Manager at AF Offshore Decom, you will have an exciting and important role where, in collaboration with the rest of the project team, you establish, develop, and execute technical and operational methods.

The Engineering Manager reports to the Project Manager and is part of the project's leadership team.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish, coordinate, and follow up on engineering activities within the project, related to both offshore decommissioning and onshore demolition of installations.
  • Identify and monitor changes, both technical and commercial.
  • Coordinate engineering and operational interfaces between subcontractors and clients, as well as internally between projects, in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
  • Provide input to and follow up on procurement plans and subcontractors in collaboration with procurement managers.
  • Establish, maintain, and monitor plans in collaboration with the project planner.
  • Collaborate with other project leaders and staff to find new solutions to challenging issues and optimize processes both within the project and the organization.
  • Hold personnel responsibility for relevant staff in the project organization.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably within the offshore industry.
  • Familiarity with or experience in executing offshore projects is an advantage.
  • Experience in personnel management is a clear benefit.
  • Some experience with structural calculations and analysis is advantageous.
  • Experience in supplier follow-up and/or contract management is a plus.
