Fundamentering AS (FAS), a company within AF Gruppen, has entered into a contract with Metrostav Norge AS for foundation work on the Ramfjord Bridge in Troms. The client is the Norwegian Public Roads Administration. The contract is valued at approximately NOK 100 million excluding VAT.
The contract includes pile work, including driving steel piles and drilling steel core piles. The foundation work will be carried out both from barges and from land. The new E8 highway between Sørbotn and Laukslett aims to provide a more accessible, shorter, and safer entrance route to Tromsø. The new Ramfjord Bridge will be approximately 800 meters long.
“This is an important and exciting assignment for us, demonstrating that we have the right expertise to carry out challenging work at sea. We are very pleased that Metrostav Norge has chosen FAS for this project,” says Geir-Vidar Sørheim, Managing Director of Fundamentering AS.
The planned start date is April 2024, with the entire project expected to be completed by 2027.
